Your website should be your organizations largest social network hub, linking to the social channels you're most active on.
There is a consensus that social media marketing is valuable because it allows companies to directly engage with their customers. But...what's the value of a click, like, share, or retweet? How do you engage the people who come to your website? Are your customers utilizing social network channels to gather the information they need about you or your business or perhaps to share feedback about your company or service?
If you don't engage or direct your customers to where you want them to go, there's plenty of other sources they'll dig into, and it may not be in your best interest.
Your website can and should serve as more than empty online real estate. It should serve as a central hub for communication.
